I’ve always considered myself to be a pretty big dreamer. I was the kid who wanted to be the biggest female vocalist on the planet, so I sent a tape to Star Search. You know, the show where Ed McMahon made everybody feel like they were 5 stars. I saw myself standing on stage, receiving applause and of course winning the $100,000.
Some things don’t change. I no longer want to be the biggest female vocalist, but I still dream big. At least I thought so, until this weekend. This weekend, I had the pleasure of seeing how “the other half lives.” You know, the half that doesn’t look at price tags, treats $15,000 like its $15 and makes moves and deals by the millions that the mind can barely comprehend.
It made me think, “Am I dreaming big enough?” My dreams these days are creating a home that’s loving and peaceful with positive energy radiating throughout. In my dreams, I’m a Certified Professional Coach with a thriving practice that meets the needs of my clients and allows me to live abundantly and in truth. I’m less judgmental. I have less ego, so I have positive interactions with everyone I encounter. These are great dreams, but the question that popped into my mind was “Is my mindset expansive enough?”
Expansive means to cover a wide space or scope. It’s having depth. So, “Do my dreams have enough depth? Cover enough territory?” The answer is that they do have a level of depth, but there’s nothing wrong with expanding it even more. I want to wake up one day and say “I always thought I could have this life. Now I do!”
So don’t settle! Don’t settle for the $300,000 deal, when you can have the $3 million dollar deal. Don’t stop at $3 million, when you can have $30 million. Why stop there? Go for the $300 million dollar deal! If you’re consciously creating the life that you want, why settle?
Why settle for a relationship that doesn’t satisfy your needs? Why settle for a job that pays less than you want, doing something that you don’t even really like? If you’re negotiating a deal, why settle for the amount they’re offering, when you can ask for the sum you want? The point to all of this is to dream big…and not just big, but dream big enough!
If you think small, you manifest small things. And that’s fine, if that’s what you want. But, if what you really want is the BIG THING, think the BIG THING! Focus on the BIG THING! Work towards the BIG THING! Ask for the BIG THING!
One thing is for certain, if you don’t ask, you don’t receive. You have not, because you ask not. So ask for what you want, put the work in and watch the rest manifest itself!
