Back in 2015, I reached a tipping point in my life, and something needed to change. I liked what I did for a living, but I didn't love it anymore. I had this nagging feeling of wanting to do more with my life. I had considered being a coach before but never took the step to do it. But on April 28, 2015, I took a step, a big one. I scheduled an appointment and immediately signed up for a coaching program.
When I started my coaching program, I had one main goal. I wanted to help people. What I didn't anticipate was how much I would discover about myself and change in the process. Coaching changed everything about my life - what I thought, how I felt, and how I looked at life. The most significant change for me was when I stopped seeing obstacles and started seeing choices. Understanding the power of choice made me feel more empowered and decisive as a person and leader.
I know what it's like to be a new leader who wants the best for their employees while at the same time not feeling qualified to give it to them. The first time I felt overwhelmed by my job as a Logistics Manager was a powerless and defeating moment. The moment happened because I wasn't prepared and didn't have the proper tools. It is a moment I'll never forget and one that I hope I can help you avoid.
